GOOD BYE CAMP GREEN LAKE!

Hi everybody!
Finally, I finished the book.  That’s the reason why it’s my last entry for this blog and probably forever.
I found Louis Sachar's writing style interesting and I liked it. The language was quite easy  to understand. So it was enjoyable to read the book.
Relationship between the characters was one of the most impressive parts of the book by Louis Sachar. For example what happened between Elya Yelnats and Madam Zeroni affected even the fourth generation.

Friendship was an important theme for the book. Before Stanley came to the camp he had no friends. He didn't know anything about friendship. He was "the fat boy" for the others in the school. But after he came to the camp he and Zero became very good friends. And also the friendship between the boys in Group D was very important for the story to move on.
I think, main theme of the book was destiny. Maybe the bad luck had never left family of Stanley before. But all this bad events helped Stanley to survive and find the loot.
For example, if Kate Barlow hadn't robbed Stanley's great-grandfather, would Camp Green Lake even exist? If Stanley hadn't been sent to Camp Green Lake would he even know what friendship means? I think these events prove the existence of destiny in this book.

"When the shoes first fell from the sky, Stanley remembered thinking that destiny had struck him. Now, he thought so again. It was more than a coinsidence. It had to be destiny." (p.149) In this quotation we can see that Stanley is also believed in existence of destiny.
